Pommes Anna A classic French dish that dates back to the Napoleon times, supposedly named after an actress. Traditionally made with only butter and seasoning, I like to add a touch of thyme and a little grated Parmesan for that French Italian twist. Pommes Anna is essentially an upside down potato cake or more like a tart. So the bottom is actually the top.
