Howdy. Today we will dive into The Powerful Pagodas of Ancient China, as documented by Felice Beato. This collection was first presented to the world in the year 1860, and these photographs present a side of China which had not been captured before these images. A handful of these photographs are considered to be the first ever taken of the structures they showcase, and further, the detail of these nearly 165 year old images is astounding. A few of these pagodas reach an enormous height, and might be considered some of the earliest skyscrapers in history.
