The Gemtrue Vertias CVD/HPHT tester has been Developed to help screen out synthetic Type lla colorless diamonds, which are likely to be synthetic and created through chemical vapor deposition (CVD) or high pressure high temperature (HPHT) syntheses, from natural type Ia colorless diamonds. When subjected to this deep UV irradiation, type Ia and type IIa diamonds each absorb different amount of UV light. Type IIa diamonds allow deeper UV light to pass through and thus its UV light absorption ability is low. The Veritas has been designed specifically to test single gemstones only. After placing your loose gemstone in the tester, close the lid, and press the button.
