Heavy rain in Kerala, one of India's most attractive tourist destinations, led to landslides early on Tuesday, sending torrents of mud, water and boulders downhill. At least 150 people were confirmed dead and 225 still missing. Several survivors said they lost everything after the landslides and swollen rivers swept away their houses and loved ones, while others were afraid to stay in the area for fear of further destruction with rain the forecast. Drone footage showed the devastation in Kerala as rescue crews continued to search for the missing.
