The stone carvings of Anju, carrying the essence of Anyue above and leading to Dazu below, flourished during the Tang Dynasty and endured until the Qing Dynasty. Across the region, there are 51 stone carvings with over 50,000 statues. These “historical books chiseled in stone“ are not only impressive symbols of Anju but also invaluable and unique cultural landmarks.
