London (probably Pathe Studio).
Various shots of comedian Robb Wilton as he delivers a comic monologue with piano accompaniment. He starts off talking about his pal called Jim, who came to visit when Robb had the ’flu; they argued because Jim thought Robb was going to die. He then talks about a car he had that wouldn’t start; he sold it to a man who wanted to use it as a hen house. Robb then speaks of two women fighting in the street; he tried to break it up, but ended up be...ing taken before a magistrate who had set up the fight between his Mother-in-law and another woman. He was sending Robb to prison because his intervention caused the Mother-in-law to move back in with the magistrate.
All of this is done in Robb Wilton’s inimitable style, with lots of “I said who, he said you, I said me, he said yes“ sort of talk throughout.
