What do the Dead Sea Scrolls tell us about the biblical text? It's important to note that among the scrolls we have at least fragments from each and every book of the Hebrew Bible, with the exception of the book of Esther. We also have the entire book of Isaiah, all 66 chapters, as well as a partial copy of the same text. Furthermore, enhanced carbon dating techniques, which make it possible to conclusively place the great bulk of these biblical texts in the first two centuries . The very existence of the scrolls opens a window on the text of the Bible that predates all other copies of the sacred books by more than 1,000 years...
