In this video guitar lesson series, I am going to show you note-for-note how to play “Round And Round“ by Ratt. “Round And Round“ is one of the most popular songs of the eighties, propelled by catchy melodies and awesome guitar riffs and solos. In these Round And Round guitar lessons, I will first break down all the riffs and chords, followed by a tutorial on the killer guitar solos. You will need to tune your guitar down one-half step in order to follow along with these lessons and play along with the original recording. Starting from the 6th string that will be Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb. A lot of these guitar riffs are rather advanced, requiring some very large stretches and an accurate picking technique. I would put them at an upper intermediate level. For certain parts of the riffs where there are two separate guitars playing different parts, I will try to combine them so they can be played by just one guitarist wherever possible. In the second video lesson I will cover the solos note-for-note. These solos are definitely for the more advanced players out there. There is some really cool harmony guitar work going on here so it will be a great study on how to create your own harmony guitar lines. Obviously, you will need another guitarist to play with you in order to pull off the harmony guitar parts. If you don't have another guitar play to play with, just pick the harmony line that you like the sound of the best. They will both sound great by themselves. Guitarist Warren Demartini does the bulk of the heavy lifting during these solos and he is truly one of the greatest guitar players of the hard rock eighties era. His style incorporates lots of slippery slides and legato patterns creating very fluid and exciting solos. Hope you guys enjoy this one! Carl...
