Brian May finished building his famous guitar around 1963. It looked very different in its first draft. Different pickups, different tremolo arm, different knobs, open backed tuners and a built-in Vox fuzzbox. It also proudly displays his initials on the headstock. Brian made these first pickups from scratch, and liked the sound of them, but they made strange noises when he bent a string across the poles. Eventually, he changed to Burns TriSonics - the rest is history. I have recreated his guitar as he first built it, but have sorted the technical problems that dogged his pickups, so it is fully playable. Please excuse my random playing!
