Duxford Flying Finale 2024 | The Highlights

Saturday 5th October saw the 2024 Flying Finale take place at Duxford. The event features one of the last flying displays in the UK and this year it hosted a brilliant range of acts. A couple of unique highlights to mention in particular include the RAF Typhoon Display Team’s specially-painted Hawker Typhoon-themed jet flying alongside the Aircraft Restoration Company’s Supermarine Spitfire , more of which you can see by clicking here - Another highlight for many was the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows. The 2024 Duxford Flying Finale marked the team’s final display of the year and there was no better way to conclude this season than to have the nine Hawks escorting Spitfire MH434 from the Old Flying Machine Company - the company established by the late Ray Hanna, also the founding member of the Red Arrows back in 1964.
