According to the narrator this is going to be a revolutionary experiment - using the motor car for troop transport. Presumably this is a re-enactment of the first transport of troops by car in 1909. Men in the military costume of the day climb into various vintage cars - they are to be transported to Hastings. Various shots of the “soldiers“ climbing in. This run has been organised by the Automobile Association as part of the AA's Golden Jubilee celebrations. 50 veteran cars are taking part - various shots of them travelling along different roads.
