Using a Picker to Prepare Fiber for Carding

I received a note asking me to demonstrate the picker. It's only 3 weeks late, but here it is. I am using the Patrick Green Triple Pick in preparation to card on either my Louet roving carder or the Patrick Green super card. No matter what carder you use picking is a MUST. I used to sit for many evenings finger picking fleece - but now I can do what took me several evenings in only an hour - - and it's much better prepared. I will try to do another video showing other picking and fibers but this is the basic prep - and the big picker. No matter what picker you have, they all work about the same. The triple pick is simply bigger - and in my opinion (and I've owned a Meck which was “the standard“ way back when I owned it 20 yrs ago, just before Meck died) the best. Not cheap. You need to be very careful using it. It makes a HUGE difference in the final carding and fiber preparation and without it I would be at a loss. Hope this helps.
