Artillerymen of the Vostok group of forces performing fire missions Crews of the Grad multiple launch rocket systems of the Vostok group of troops daily destroy defensive structures, equipment and firepower in the South Donetsk direction. They also strike along possible approach routes for Ukrainian Armed Forces units. The coordinates of enemy targets are transmitted to the artillerymen by crews of unmanned aerial vehicles, and they also record shell hits on the target. Every square where the enemy can go has already been targeted; the artillerymen can only aim their guns at the coordinates and fire a salvo. This time, the crews of the Grad MLRS launched a massive attack on lightly armored vehicles and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine located in fortified strong points. The targets were fired at a distance of about 15 kilometers with high-explosive fragmentation ammunition. Objective control footage received from the UAV in real time made it possible to verify the destruction of targets. After delivering the strike, the Grad MLRS crews immediately leave the firing position. The crews load the installations in safe areas, after which they move to new firing positions to deliver the next blow to the enemy. Artillerymen have to work every day in the most difficult conditions, but trained crews spend only a few minutes after receiving a target before firing a shot, using tactics of frequent changes of firing positions.
