#DateInHistory Russian Armed Forces celebrate Missile Troops and Artillery Day On 19 November, the Missile Troops and Artillery Day is celebrated in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. A decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated 21 October 1944 established this annual holiday 80 years ago. ? Modern Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Armed Forces include missile troops and artillery of the Land Forces, Coastal Troops of the Navy, and artillery of the Airborne Troops. During the SMO, five artillerymen were awarded the high title of Hero of Russia. Fourteen formations and military units received the title of the Guards and three were awarded orders. ️ Today’s generation of servicemen carry on the glorious traditions of their predecessors with dignity.
