Helga Zepp-LaRouche: Already very early in my life, I adopted the point of view of Friedrich Schiller: “Live with your century, but don't be its creature, perform for your contemporaries, but what they require, not what they praise.“ With that developed vision of a humanistic society - inspired by Schiller and Wilhelm von Humboldt - every child could have the chance of a universal education, which would allow the development of all its inherent creative potentials to a harmonious totality, to the beauty of the character. That same ideal exists in the highest expressions of other cultures, for example, the notion of the “Junzi (君子)“ in Confucianism, and therefore the basis for a dialogue on the highest level of each culture exists.
