June 1983 - April 1984 This is the most frustrating video to curate as 1983 really suffers from big matches being missing even though they were almost certainly televised, most notably the Devil Masami vs. Jaguar Yokota WWWA Singles Title match on 9/7/83, which Jaguar won in what’s described as an in-ring classic. I suspect they’re lost media at this point. But what we do have is still really interesting as this is the last stretch of AJW before the boom period. The Dynamite Girls are the tag team to beat, with their babyface challengers being the increasingly popular Crush Gals, whereas Devil Legion are still after them on the heel side. Devil Legion also has its own internal issues, which are about to unleash a monster the likes of which have never been seen before... Kaoru Matsumoto becomes Dump Matsumoto (as of 1984). Masked Yu becomes Crane Yu (4/4/84). We have just the 1 new AJW wrestler making their first appearance in the set: 1. Itsuki Yamazaki - Debut 1981. A low-ranking member of Devil Legion, keen-eyed viewers will have spotted her in the previous video hanging around the faction. Itsuki is a very athletic wrestler in the style of Tomi Aoyama.
