Heavy rains have hit various regions in China, including Shangxi, Sichuan, Chongqing, Yanan, Guizhou, Anhui, and Jiangsu, leading to widespread flooding. The Ministry of Water Resources reported the formation of Yangtze River Flood No. 2 of 2024 on July 11, resulting in significant flooding. In response, three flood discharge gates were opened at the Three Gorges Dam to manage rising water levels, but it was insufficient to control the flooding. From July 11 to July 12, 12 districts and counties in Chongqing experienced heavy rain, and 29 rivers surpassed warning levels, causing severe flooding. Videos show floodwaters from power plants causing river surges, and the Quow districts of Chongqing, Dangiang, Fangu, Yunyang, and neighboring areas faced extensive flooding, causing significant damage and losses. Roads, homes, and shops were flooded, with water levels exceeding warning marks by almost 2 meters in some areas, and many highways were closed due to landslides and flash floods. The flooding led to casualties, missing persons, deaths, and displacement, with many towns and villages, including farmland, inundated, disrupting lives and livelihoods. --------------------------------------------------------------------- In this video, we've gathered video clips in a few different ways.
