In between demo-ing new Portlands tracks up at 3khz studios we also find the time to get down a cheeky cover version or two. Here Dook and Tim record a version of “Hallelujah“. We used a Vox AC30 with the Tele’, with a TLM103 57 on axis. Vocal mic was an ’87 into a universal audio 6176. Most the of the guitar reverb is coming from the amp (with some protools moogerfooger analogue delay, and stereo width), and the vocal is a mix of M3000 and Lexicon plate plug-in. SSL buss compressor is used, with a Sonnox limiter. There was no EQ used. Recorded by Paul Maddocks @ 3khz.
