Very intersting scene this morning in Champagne Ridge, Kajiado, Kenya. I was hiding in the bush, behind a rock, at the foot of a cliff waiting for some birds when a big troop of Baboons came down the higher cliff in front of me. At least 80 baboons with many youngsters. They played for a while in the cliff and then most of them went down a rocky stream a bit further. They saw me since the beginning so some of the big ones, some males and some females stayed there, on some rocks to watch me and to monitor the troop from some view points all around. They were very quiet but one female in heat was quite nervous and was defying me all the time. She was making some defying signs and movements with the head and then she began to throw rocks down from where she was standing. She was looking at me and throwing rocks and stones down and she was jumping from one rock to another one. I was not moving and it was not a danger at all of course. The other ones didn't react and then left to join some males.
