Текст с Bandcamp’а: “Torf-Einarr was one of the Norse Earls of Orkney. Torf-Einarr was only a byname as his real name is Einarr Rognvaldarson. The saga of Torf Einar is about hid battled for control of the Northern Isles of Scotland and his struggle with Norwegian royals, Einarr’s dynasty retained control of the Orkney islands for centuries after his death. The reasons for his nickname of “Turf“ are not certain but my guess is that it might have something to do with the fact that using peat/ turf (Torv in Norwegian) as fuel source was a tradition in Norway that time.
