Julianne Kirk Doyle performs Elegy by Eliot Del Borgo | ONNY Beyond the Stage

This week's Beyond the Stage performance, performed by our Principal Clarinetist Julianne Kirk Doyle, has many connections to the local Crane School of Music. Dr. Doyle joined the faculty of the Crane School of Music in 2006 and currently serves as Professor of Clarinet and Director of the Crane Youth Music Camp. The piece performed here is an Elegy for Dr. Doyle's former teacher, David Etheridge, who passed away in 2010. Etheridge served on the faculty at Crane for nine years before moving to the University of Oklahoma. The piece was composed by late Eliot Del Borgo, a former faculty member at Crane. Dr. Doyle notes that this piece is not performed frequently, but that it is a beautiful testament to people we have lost.
