Despite the fact that I’m no longer with Whitechapel, I’m still immensely proud of ’KIN’. So awhile back I recorded a few more play-throughs for some of my favorite tunes from the album - while the material was still relatively ’fresh’ for me. Here’s the second (of 4) - “I Will Find You“. If memory serves me correctly, this is the second song I wrote drums for during the writing process of the album (the first being “Lost Boy“, I think). With this one though, Zach sent me a guitar file only - no drums whatsoever - to see what I’d come up with. After sending ideas back & forth for awhile, we definitely ended up changing some of the initial parts that I wrote (to match more of what *they* initially had in mind on their end), but some of my O.G. parts surely remained. Ex. - the drums in the ’chorus’: The kick pattern doesn’t really follow any specific guitar, bass, or vocal part. I sorta just felt like the drums needed something there, &
