Awhile back, when I posted the last WC playthrough from 'KIN', I said something along the lines of “This is the last 'Chapel playthrough I'll be posting“. WELL, I was wrong, because I recently found a few other songs that I (apparently) recorded videos for (LOL). I genuinely forgot that I had done them, & when searching through one of my many hard drives for something totally unrelated, I stumbled upon them - totally finished, just sitting there 😂😂. So here's “MAKE IT BLEED“ from their Self-Titled album! Upon finding this one, I remembered that part of the reason I never posted it was because I didn't reeeeeally love how it turned out. I don't think it's bad, but idk... I guess I just felt that I could've done it better, & planned on redoing it at some point. However, now that I'm not involved with them anymore, I have no intention of redoing it, so figured hey - what the heck! This song in particular was a fun one to play live (at least, considering it was on the 'faster' end of things, which usually stresses me out). But even with the speedy parts, I still always enjoyed it. Especially the ending - I really like that last drum break into the thrash beat, & that whole outro section. I was a big fan of the Self-Titled album in general (hence my VERY old cover of 'Section 8' - a song I covered many years before actually playing with them), so I think I just enjoyed playing their material from that era altogether. I also saw the tour announcement recently with Whitechapel supporting Meshuggah - I know first hand how much those guys love Meshuggah, so I know how much that tour must mean to them, & how stoked they must be. Happy & stoked for them, too (truly!). Make sure to go check them out, I've no doubts it'll be an incredible show. Anywayz - I hope you will enjoy this lil' THROWBACK! Got a couple *newer* videos to post as well, but figured I'd throw this one up first. When I stumbled upon it again recently, I couldn't quite remember, but thought “Hmm... doesn't sound like a Declan mix, Anup mix, OR Nolly mix...“. Searched my email just to double check, & sure enough - mixed by Simon Grove! So thanks, dude! Bit late posting, but hey - better late than never! LOL! All the shell mics were mounted internally (which you can see in the above angle). That's how Cagle (WC's FoH engineer) did things when I was with them, & since there wasn't too long until the next tour, he let me leave them in / temporarily take them home with me. Slightly different sound, but it's quite nice (!) - to not have the mic on the outside! Might have to try it again at some point. @rudirudinger My Podcast - Spotify: Apple Podcasts: & last but CERTAINLY not least, BIG love to everyone that contributes to my PATREON!
