Geoffrey Hinton, the man widely considered the 'godfather' of Artificial Intelligence, has quit his role with Google amid fears that AI could soon be smarter than humans. Dr Hinton's pioneering research on neural networks and deep learning has paved the way for current AI systems like Google's Bard chat bot and Microsoft's ChatGPT.
