This gadget was once used to sharpen razor blades. In this video I want to share with you an interesting gadget of our grandfathers. In the field, they sharpened their razor blades. You simply insert the blade, pull the rope a few times, and the blade becomes sharp again. In this restoration, I cleaned the plastic case, removed the scratches and polished. I glued the chipped plastic parts. Aligned the sharpening mechanism. All metal parts are rust-free, polished and nickel-plated. So the metal is forever protected from rust and looks beautiful. This blade sharpener has lost one important mechanism. A gear that moves the blade when sharpening. I decided to cast a new one out of plastic. To do this, I made a mold out of silicone and filled it with injection molded plastic. To put the mechanism into action, you need to pull the cable; for this, there must be a convenient puller at the ends. I made it out of beech and painted it. The restoration turned out to be excellent, it looks great. Thanks for watchin
