◾Palestinian Christian’s celebrated the feast of cross, with family gatherings, traditional foods and sweets and most importantly ceremonies, praying for their savor Jesus Christ. The Feast of the Cross. This day commemorates when Empress Helena discovered the Cross in 326 AD. Palestinian Christians light up crosses above their houses all week long. To celebrate this day, they, like other Christians in the East, make fire pits on hills and peaks, with a cross in sight. The reason for lighting the fires is that when the Empress discovered the Cross, Christians and her soldiers sent word to Constantinople via fire pits, starting from the Holy Land all the way to Constantinople. This tradition is still honored in the East by both Catholics and Orthodox Christians. ◾Follow: Source: Fearless John - @European_dissident
