Kalevi Kiviniemi plays “Myrskyluodon rapsodia“ (Stormskärs rapsodi) for Organ. Composed by Lasse Mårtenson (1934-2016), dedicated to Kalevi Kiviniemi. Recorded and filmed at the Church of the Cross, Lahti, Finland, in September 2005. Lasse Mårtenson was a Finnish singer, composer, actor and theater conductor. “Myrskyluodon rapsodia“ (Storm Skerries Rhapsody) was commissioned by Ekku Peltomäki in 2005 for his music and light show. Composition is based on tunes Mårtenson composed for a Finnish television series “Myrskyluodon Maija“ (Maija from the Storm Skerries). Although Lasse's father Elis Mårtenson was a famous Finnish organist, this is the only composition for organ by Lasse Mårtenson. Audio, video & editing: Mika Koivusalo
