I am back with another video, this time we are building a fully 3D printed RC Wing - Craycle Orca V3. To make this more interesting, I used special lightweight ASA Aero filament from Bambu Lab. It wasn’t the easiest to print, but the results were truly amazing. Stick to the end of the video to also see how to integrate Walksnail FPV system with Ardupilot, and how it performs in the air. Overall I think I can say the lightweight ASA really did improve the flight performance of the ORCA. The stall speed was decreased - I was able to cruise at around 40km/h, and also it used only 600mah from my 3S battery for the whole FPV flight in the video. I think those are pretty good numbers, the only downside is that the foaming filaments are bit less durable. I can’t wait to explore more 3D printed models in the future! Also a few side notes I realized after making this video: -Craycle doesn’t recommend gluing the motor mount, servos nor the carbon rod. I did it anyway since I wanted the plane to be structurally stronger, but they are meant to be easily swappable between different Craycle models. -On this plane I used a 5“ propeller, but to make it fly slower you should rather go for 6“ You can get the files for ORCA and other Craycle planes on their website: And don’t forget about this coupons I got for you! 5% Off for Printed Kits: BasementCreationskit 10% Off for STL Files: BasementCreationsstl Get amazing deals for X1C and other Bambu Lab 3D printers here: You only got time till the so don’t wait!
