US President Joe Biden is meeting with UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson in London on Thursday, June 10, at the start of his trip to Europe. In a Washington Post article published prior to the trip Biden said he would affirm the ’special relationship’ the United States has with the United Kingdom. The leaders are also expected to touch upon the Northern Ireland issue, including its post-Brexit status. Following the meeting Biden will take part in the G7 Summit in Cornwall, the NATO Summit in Brussels and will wrap up his first Europe trip as president by meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Geneva.
