Unused / unissued material - paperwork dates it as 1940. Title reads “African Mirror No. 150 / Madagascar“. Intertitle following reads “A Brief Description of a Little Known Island That is World Headline New To-day“ [sic]. On a basic map of the island of Madagascar we see the port of Diego Suarez, occupied at this time by British Forces. At the capital city of Antananarivo / Tananarive we see several shots of the countryside around the city and street scenes; the market place; ducklings and pigs (tied in pairs at the trotter) for sale. A narrow gauge steam train passes through on its way to the east coast. Local men carry westerners on sedan chairs along roads and across a river. Ox are herded over mountains. We see several tribes of the island; they are seen panning for gold, threshing corn and harvesting rice; oxen are seen swimming across a river. Other locals are seen speeding down rivers in canoes. M/S of a group of monkeys in a tree. Various shots of tribesmen felling trees in the jungl
