On March 4, 2011 Aysha Arrington, a very good friend of us, passed away. We met Aysha and her husband Clif for the first time in 1986 on the Big Island of Hawaii. Clif is a medical doctor in Kealakekua and he helped Elly through some severe sicknesses. Through the years we met several times and we were always so happy to be together. It was a shock for us to hear that Aysha is not in our midst anymore. May God grant dr. Clif and his family peace and comfort in the days, weeks, months and years to come. The painted church (st. Benedict's Catholic Church) is the place where we often met (the home church of the Ariington's). A beautiful little church overlooking the Island and the immense ocean surrounding it. Nothing will ever make us forget those beautiful memories we share together. Milonga is a folk guitar music form which was originated in Uruguay and Argentina, based on rhythms brought to the Rio de la Plata by African citizens. In its origins, milonga music would often be improvised, or some milonga songs would be used as a base for improvisation. As a form created to carry words the folk song milonga has a neutral, almost tuneless tune, with the lyrics chanted over a strict structure of rhythm and chords.
