As part of the master plan for the development of the Paddington Basin, three original bridges by three separate teams were commissioned to create street level points of interest. In collaboration with The Heatherwick Studio, Packman Lucas conceived the idea of a bridge that carried pedestrians when in place and turned into a sculpture when retracted Uniquely, this bridge rolls into a perfect hexagon when not in use. The project went on to win a 2005 Structural Steel Design Award
