We're back with another installment of Aircraft of the Month! This month we highlight the Douglas F4D Skyray from the New England Air Museum. The Skyray was used as a high altitude fleet protection interceptor. It was able to reach supersonic speeds at level flight, and set many flight records in its day. This particular Skyray actually served aboard the USS Intrepid in 1960 with Carrier Air Group (CVG) 6. Learn more about this incredible aircraft alongside our Curator of Aviation Eric Boehm.
