With “Open Beg” Jean-Emmanuel Krieger, under the name of Baikonour presents some smart and proggy krautronica with a Gallic charm. Krieger was born in Versailles, but it’s Brighton that he calls his home and where his music is recorded, with him playing most of the instruments. Krieger uses classic 60s compressors and EQs, vintage guitars and keyboards and, in combination with traditional instruments, creates music of timeless quality.
