Ще не вмерла України і слава, і воля! Niech żyje Ukraina! Stay strong Ukraine! Eternal shame on Russia and its criminal authorities! Niech żyje Rzeczpospolita (Rzecz Wszystkich)! Salus rei publicae suprema lex! Gaude Mater Polonia (Rejoice, oh Mother Poland) was probably the most popular medieval Polish hymn, written in the 13th-14th century in memory of saint Stanisław Szczepanowski, bishop of Cracow. Polish knights used to sing it after victory in battle, presumably to one of the Gregorian chant melodies associated with “O Salutaris Hostia“, on which it is based. Nowadays Gaude Mater Polonia is sung at most universities of Poland for the inauguration of the academic year as well as during important national holidays related to Poland's history. Performance: Choir Cantores Veiherovienses Wykonanie: Chór Mieszany “Cantores Veiherovienses“ z Wejherowa. Words: Latin: Gaude, mater Polonia, prole fecunda nobili. Summi Regis magnalia laude frequenta vigili. Polish: O ciesz się, Matko-Polsko, w sławne Potomstwo płodna! Króla królów I najwyższego Pana wielkość Uwielbiaj chwałą przynależną. English Rejoice, oh Mother Poland Rich in noble offspring, Mighty works of the greatest King Worship with incessant praise. source:
