We recently had an instructor sync up after running a few different courses. We wanted to define a set of standards we thought kept everyone accountable and was beneficial to those who wear multiple hats. The main purpose was to create a few standards to progress the groups that operate in a variety of lighting conditions and have different equipment to navigate. These are all simple drills that most everyone has done, we just wanted to unify the time standards and see what the difference was if we maintained the same body and head position but utilized a optic riser to make it more efficient and repeatable without changing our body position. Give these a try and we will keep you posted and we keep refining and add to the standards. **Standards are shot from 5,7,10 yards depending on the group, the time standard doesn’t change.** **The head box will double in size to be more realistic if using a credit card size box but still be accountable for your accuracy speed combination. Use your best judgement based on the targets you have.** High ready- under 1 sec Low ready- under 1 sec Rifle Bill drill- 3 sec Transition drill- 3.5 sec Combat reload- 5 sec Check drill- 11 sec Try these out, work through your equipment and see if you have major differences between performing slick and doing it with everything on. Keep us posted and keep training. #gbrsgroup #hydramount #standards #beapro
