The debut of a Brazilian solo act, the same artist playing on Funeral Dawn and Beyond Chaos. This record is a blend of atmospheric and depressive black metal, but mostly the former, with a heavy usage of synth to evoke this environment. The percussion, even if not overly complex, is also nice, not falling into an endless cycle of mimicking patterns, it varies quite often. As for the guitar, it regularly occupies the background but is still nicely interwoven with the remaining instruments. In a way, as you listen to his songs and they start to melt inside your being, there is something magical with these simple compositions. The songs are extremely well conceived and the vocals are pretty amazing. Each song flows easily from one track to another with total easiness, and definitely the synths are amazingly played. These two, the synth and vocals are surely the strongest points on this album.
