Changing times in the English Channel the little ships of 1940 and the small boats of 2021

A few years ago, mention of little ships or small boats crossing the English Channel would have evoked memories of the evacuation of Dunkirk in 1940. That association has gone forever, as we now view with trepidation the waves of immigration carried to our shores a flotilla of little ships of quite another kind.
