#Rocamadour is located in the center of the Upper Quercy limestone plateau in the historic province of Quercy, directly on a steep cliff, 150 meters above the Alzou River valley, the channel of which is sandwiched by steep slopes. Rocamadour is one of the places of worship of the Virgin Mary, and already in the XII century it became a recognized pilgrimage site, which was visited by many Christians.
