People believed they were the center of creation, that their fates mattered to these great beings. But reality is far more merciless. The gods are neither protectors nor destroyers; they transcend these concepts. To them, we are nothing more than molecules in the vast cosmos, mere biomass on another planet. While humans continue to play their roles in the illusion of eternal struggle, the gods simply exist, oblivious to us, as we are to dust in a beam of sunlight.
