Welcome to part 1 of a series of General d’Armee ‘Bootcamp’ videos where we take a close look at the various phases and mechanisms in GdA2. I will be using a scenario out of the first volume of Napoleonic Scenarios for General de Brigade, CRAONNE 1814 as the vehicle to examine the phases and mechanics of GdA2. In this video we look at setting up a CORPS LEVEL game including the use of Corps Orders and Adjutants, determining the quality of our Corps, Division and Brigade Commanders, examining Command and determining which side has the Initiative. Special thanks to Battlefield Accessories for sponsoring this series. Check out their excellent products at the link below. The conversation from GbB to GdA2 is as follows: So there are six basic grades in GDB : Guard,Elite,Veteran,Line, 2ndLine and Conscript. I believe that : GdB GUARD = GdA2 ELITE GdB ELITE = GdA2 VETERAN GdB VETERAN = GdA2 GRENADIER GdB LINE = GdA2 LINE GdB Second LINE = GdA2 RESERVIST GdB Conscript = GdA2 RECRUIT UNIT SIZE CONVERSIONS Infantry Units: GdB Figures = GdA unit size. Less than 24 = Small 24 to 36 = Standard 37 = Large Cavalry Units: 12 or less = Small 14- 24 = Standard 25 or More = Large ARTILLERY (still working on this): 2-3 Guns is a Standard Battery 4 Large Battery (usually Russian)
