The latest album from our good friend Harpag in his three-piece Funeral Doom group, Urnscent, and another chance for us to represent our Death/Thrash/Doom Sister Group: Order: TROOPS on the channel. The album is loosely based on “The Conference of the Birds“, the grandiose masterpiece of the late Sufi poet, Attar of Nishapur (c. 1145 – c. 1221) (and was also the inspiration for an album by Om). Atmospheric and sombre, with a superb vocal performance, and exquisitely toned guitars and weighted drums, and excellent strings and key melodies, this is another highly impressive album from this seriously talented individual and his expanding circle of collaborators.
