絆 Yoichi Shimada Sorma's second album Mirage Of The East delivers more of their unique blend of electronica and world music. Indian, Mongolian, Tibetan, and Balian chants and songs form the backbone of songs like “Gumbalo,“ “Aouma,“ and “Ki-Zu-Na.“ “Satie's Sari“ blends a lilting, Eric Satie-inspired melody with classical Indian vocals, and “Mirage (Mantra Mix)“ adds another layer of depth to a song that appeared on Sorma's debut album, Illusion. Koto, shakuhachi, sitar, tabla, harp, guitar, synthesizers, and dance beats are just some of the instrumental ingredients that Sorma uses in their impressive brand of global fusion. ~ Heather Phares Recorded at Flamingo Sound, Tokyo, Japan. Personnel: Tadahiro Wakabayashi (sitar); Rikiya Yamashita (piano); Mato (tabla).
