The Brown University Department of Music proudly presents “Universe - Four Cycles for Saxophone Solo,“ a YouTube premiere by guest artist Ulrich Krieger. Ulrich Krieger provides these notes about “Universe“ (a work-in-progress, 2009-now): Universe is a series of four cycles for saxophone, exploring the outer fringes of saxophone timbres and sounds as well as new approaches for the saxophone beyond the existing playing traditions of classical, new music, jazz and free improvisation.
