On July 13, 2024, the next RCC Boxing tournament was held in Yekaterinburg, where super heavyweights Abubakar Mutselkhanov and Ernar Yeshenov met. Mutselkhanov was making his debut in professional boxing. Yeshenov had six wins, only one of which ended by decision, and one loss. The opponents met as part of the “Road to RCC“ project, where young boxers fight for a chance to sign a contract with the promotion. The debutant took the center of the ring and felt out the distance with his jab, pressing his opponent. Yeshenov, who came out for the fight after seven years of inactivity, mostly defended himself and dodged punches, and his few attacks did not bother Mutselkhanov.
