Netherlands: Thousands march at massive rally against COVID-19 restrix in Amsterdam

Different organisations and initiatives from all over the country, including far-right parties and anti-vaccine activists, came to the capital to attend the demonstration. “I'm here because I think the measures are more graves than the problem, so I want to have a society that is based on trust instead of distrust and giving people out, so that's what I'm worried about,“ said one protester. Protesters marched holding banners with messages such as, 'No test equals no virus' and 'Mildvirus, killer vaccine.' Some posters compared the tests and vaccination process to a dictatorship regime, demanding a trial for Prime Minister Mark Rutte. While Coronavirus cases and hospital admissions were flatlining during the last week of August across the Netherlands, the number of positive tests increased by two percent. #Amsterdam #N
