If you know this channel, it all started a few years ago when I started EG part 4. I wanted to introduce a new character. But I hit a wall trying to design her. That art style just didn't seem to work for what I wanted to do. After a while, I gave up and decided to try something. I started over trying to add more details to that style and ended up with something more original looking.
