🔴 Tsukiji Hongan-ji Temple hosts an annual Bon Odori festival. Each year the event attracts visitors from the neighborhood, across the country, and even outside Japan. The visitors are invited to form a circle around the scaffold set up in the temple grounds - it doubles as a bandstand where taiko drums and singers performs live - and dance to a medley of traditional Bon Odori songs. Participants are free to dance in any costume of their choice, for many Japanese women and young girls, this is the perfect opportunity to wear their favorite Yukata. - Enjoy!
