Utrecht in the central Netherlands was the religious center of the country for centuries. Like a smaller Amsterdam it has a medieval old town, canals and a good atmosphere. We start this walk after a “Canal Pride“ festival in the centre. Please note that normally the streets are tidy. Due to the parade there is some trash in the streets. From the Dom Tower of Utrecht and St. Martin's Cathedral we explore the many streets of the Utrecht Old Town. People enjoy dinner in the many canal side cafés and restaurants. We make it to Utrecht Centraal, the train station and shopping complex. There we also see some art installation - a big plastic whale.
