This video demonstrates Hill Country Haiku’s technique for creating swirled color patterns in our cold process soap when using flat molds (also known as slab molds). In this clip Genie is making a 30 bar batch of our Cherokee Rose soap. The primary colorant used is pink clay, mica is added to create the contrasting accent ’swirl’ color. The commentator took a break from washing dirty soap pots to film the action on her new cell phone:)
